Membership

Multiethnic Young Leaders Members are catalysts for positive change. They are individuals and organisations committed to furthering racial justice, equity and unity in Aotearoa, championing greater ethnic and intersectional diversity in leadership, and empowering diverse young New Zealanders.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

FULL MEMBER

Full Members are established young leaders who have already made measurable contributions towards furthering racial justice, equity and unity in Aotearoa. They are individuals who have previously been formally recognised for their service and/or leadership potential. Full Members are selected via a comprehensive multi-part process that includes completing a full application form, submitting a Statement of Purpose or Video of Purpose, and providing a Letter of Recommendation.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Associate Members are emerging young leaders who are passionate about making measurable contributions towards furthering racial justice, equity and unity in Aotearoa. They are individuals who are at the start of their service and/or leadership journey. Associate Membership is open to all New Zealanders aged between 18 and 35; however, membership may be revoked if an individual is found to be in violation of MYLN’s kaupapa or objectives. To become an Associate Member, you must complete a condensed application form.

CORPORATE MEMBER

Corporate Members are organisations that enable our mahi, whilst also investing in their own ethnically diverse workforce and talent pipeline. Corporate Members grant their 18-35 year old employees access to all our in-person events and opportunities, including access to Multiethnic Young Leaders’ esteemed 3 Kapu Kawhe Mentorship Programme. If you’re ready to invest in your ethnically diverse employees, commit to intersectional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and build Aotearoa NZ’s pipeline of diverse future leaders, we would be delighted to talk to you and answer any questions you have.
