Multiethnic Young Leaders NZ (MYLN) Launches Corporate Impact Investor Stream to Grow the Country’s Pipeline of Ethnically Diverse Future Leaders

24th March, 2023 – Multiethnic Young Leaders NZ has announced the launch of its Corporate Impact Investor stream, a unique opportunity for organisations to invest in the future of Aotearoa New Zealand’s diverse and inclusive leadership.

Diverse and inclusive leadership is crucial for driving innovation, improving decision-making, and better serving the needs of a diverse society. Despite its importance, the leadership gap in many industries remains a persistent challenge, resulting in a lack of representation and opportunities for underrepresented communities.

Multiethnic Young Leaders NZ is on a mission to address this challenge head-on, by building the country’s pipeline of ethnically diverse future leaders. The Corporate Impact Investor stream provides organisations with a unique opportunity to support this ambitious mission.

By signing up as a Corporate Impact Investor in the first year, organisations will be recognised as a “Founding Corporate Impact Investor.” This recognition not only showcases their commitment to supporting the development of ethnically diverse future leaders, but also highlights their role in driving positive social and economic change.

“The leadership gap is a challenge that affects us all, and it is essential for organisations to take a proactive approach in addressing it, especially given the rapidly evolving demographics of Aotearoa New Zealand,” said Michelle Huang, Chair of Multiethnic Young Leaders NZ. “The Corporate Impact Investor stream offers organisations a unique opportunity to invest in a brighter future, not just for underrepresented communities but for the entire society. By supporting the development of ethnically diverse future leaders, organisations can drive positive social and economic change, and create a lasting impact on the future of our society.”

Investing in the future of diverse and inclusive leadership is not just socially responsible, but it also makes good business sense. By supporting the development of ethnically diverse future leaders, organisations can create a more equitable and just society that empowers diverse young New Zealanders. This will lead to long-term benefits for society as a whole, as well as the organisations that invest in this important mission.
