Speaker and Networking Event with Tiana Epati, Barrister and Former President of the New Zealand Law Society

The Speaker and Networking event with Tiana Epati, New Zealand’s first Law Society President of Colour, took place on Thursday 9th of June at KPMG Auckland. This was the first Speaker and Networking event to take place with a live audience, who were able to enjoy the fireside chat in-person and even network with Tiana and other Multiethnic Young Leaders Members before and after the session.

The fireside chat was moderated by Multiethnic Young Leaders Membership Committee Chair, Jess Jenkins. Jess will be heading off to Harvard in the US later this year to commence her undergraduate studies.

At the fireside chat, Tiana spoke openly and passionately about her career and leadership journey. She challenged the young people watching to be visible, and to always remain authentically themselves. Tiana shared about the power of diversity, the importance of allies, and why she’s committed to building the next generation of Pacific lawyers and future leaders.
